Thief Returns 3 Times To Ferndale Convenience Store: Police

Ferndale Police are searching for a suspect who they believe robbed the same convenience store three times recently (with video).

FERNDALE, MI — A Woodward Avenue convenience store has been robbed for the third time this month. Police believe the same man has committed all three of the thefts at Ferndale One Stop, which sits between Eight and Nine Mile roads. He stole cigarettes and vodka in each of the break-ins as well as cash in the first incident, according to a Detroit Free Press report.

"It's not uncommon for bad guys to return and commit a crime if they were able to get away with it the first time," Ferndale Police Sgt. Baron Brown said, "but three times in such a short span of time is pretty unusual."
“In the latest incident at 11:45 p.m. Monday, the man broke out a window. Once inside, he put cigarettes and Grey Goose vodka in a plastic bag and then left through the same broken-out window, all in under a minute. Security cameras captured the crime.”
