Ferndale School Calendar 2018-19: First Day Of School, Vacations

FERNDALE, MI — The first day of school in Ferndale is September 4 — and whether you and the kids are looking forward to the new school year or are dreading the end of summer, you’ll want to mark the date on your calendar ASAP. The Ferndale School District has released its 2018-2019 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/17 - 10/18: Parent Teacher Conferences (FHS/UHS/TCEC)
• 10/24 - 10/25: Parent Teacher Conferences (FMS)
• 10/31: Half Day (Grades K-5)

November

• 11/5: Evening Parent Teacher Conferences (Grades K-5)
• 11/6: No School (Professional Development Day)
• 11/8: Half Day (Grades K-5)
• 11/21: Half Day (All Grades)
• 11/22- 11/23: No School (Thanksgiving Break)

December

• 12/24 - 12/31: No School (Winter Break)

January

• 1/1: No School (Winter Break)
• 1/21: No School (Martin Luther King Jr. Day)
• 1/22 - 1/24: Half Days (Grades 6-12)
• 1/25: No School (Records Day)

February

• 2/18 - 2/22: No School (Mid-Winter Break)
