Ferndale Sex Offender Halloween Safety Map 2017

FERNDALE, MI — Before kids go out trick or treating on Halloween, fall is a good time to take an inventory of who is living in your neighborhood. Ferndale currently has 51 registered sex offenders listed on the Michigan Sex Offender Registry.

Seven sex offenders on the registry are currently listed as non-compliant, meaning they have not provided updated address information to the state. Their information is not on the map below.

The Registry database is searchable by county, municipality, city, zip code and mile radius of a particular address. People also can search by an individual’s name, non-compliant offender status, sexually violent predator status and transient offender status.

Patch’s Halloween Safety Map has pins that represent addresses of offenders convicted of sex crimes. Many are listed as being on active supervision.

According to state law, if a registered sex offender is on active supervision, they are banned from Halloween activities involving children. Registered sex offenders having Terminated status are not on state supervision and are not subject to this restriction.
