Ready, Set, Go at Annual Easter Tradition: Marshmallow Drop

Once again, Oakland County Parks will drop thousands of marshmallows from the sky in an annual Easter season tradition.

SOUTHFIELD, MI – It’s almost time for an annual Easter tradition in Oakland County — the 7th Annual Oakland County Parks Great Marshmallow Drop.

It takes place at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, at Catalpa Oaks County Park, 27725 Greenfield Road in Southfield.

The event free for children ages 4-12.

More than 15,000 marshmallows will fall from a helicopter for children to collect and exchange for prizes. Only one marshmallow is needed to exchange for a treat bag.

The helicopter will fly over three times, once for each of the following age groups:

  • Ages 4 and younger, along with individuals with disabilities
  • Ages 5-7
  • Ages 8-12

The marshmallow drop is sponsored by the Oakland County Credit Union.

Only one marshmallow is needed to exchange for a treat bag.
