Silveri Aims To Make A Difference In Ferndale Schools

FERNDALE, MI — Ferndale Public Schools recently hired John Silveri as its new deputy superintendent of human resources. A former superintendent in two Michigan school districts, Silveri will serve for the coming school year on an interim basis, according to a C & G Newspaper report.

“It’s an opportunity to work in a school system that I have not been part of before and meet new people, gain new experiences,” Silveri said.

“Silveri had no intention of ending his retirement to accept a full-time position. “I no longer have an interest in regularly working in a permanent position over the course of years,” he said. “This is simply an opportunity to come in and assist, to fill a void where it’s needed (and) to help the district through this transitional period.”
