Ferndale police said they responded to the Puff Factory, 800 W. Nine Mile Road, around 6:18 a.m. Monday following a tripped burglary alarm. Officers said they found the front glass door was broken and two cash registers missing from the store upon arriving. A witness told police they saw the incident and provided police with a description, police said.
A Ferndale police sergeant located a vehicle used by Gordon a short time later while canvassing the area, police said. When he approached the vehicle, Gordon fled from the vehicle, police said. Gordon was eventually arrested without incident and the property he was accused of stealing was recovered, police said.
