Two Ferndale Establishments Earn 'Best New Restaurant' Nod

FERNDALE, MI — It's a great time to be hungry in Ferndale. Two restaurants in the city were just awarded culinary honors by nabbing coveted spots in the 2017 Detroit Free Press' Top 10 Best New Restaurant list.
Otus Supply (349 E 9 Mile Rd.), which touts itself as a 'spirited gathering,' earned the 7th spot. The rustic space features so-called 'farm to table' unique dishes ranging from sourdough fried chicken to sweatbread nuggets. Details: Mon - Fri opens at 5:00 p.m., Saturday opens at 4:00 p.m., bar open until 2:00 a.m. daily.
The Conserva (201 E 9 Mile Rd.), which only opened last year, took 9th place. The vibe is modern urban, and serves eclectic meats, seafood and vegetables ranging from zatar rubbed octopus to artichoke hearts. Details: Wed - Saturday, 4:00 p.m. to midnight.
