Two Michigan police officers delivered a baby after his mother began giving birth on the way to the hospital.

KALAMAZOO, MI — “Baby Baker” came into the world in Kalamazoo early Saturday morning with a great story about his first encounter with police that’s sure to be repeated at future birthday celebrations. He was delivered by two police officers after his mother began giving birth on the way to the hospital, police said.
Mom-to-be’s water broke, and the baby’s father pulled the car onto a street near Bronson Park around 12:25 a.m. and called 911, according to the news release from the Kalamazoo Public Safety Department said.
When Kalamazoo police Sgt. Kristi Hofer arrived, the baby’s head had already crowned. Another officer arrived and together, they delivered a healthy baby boy, police said.
