As promised in previous staff and parent updates, we are writing to provide the first installment of some optional resources for enrichment opportunities to keep your students’ brain sharp and actively engaged. We will continue to update this information periodically. Please watch for future updates.

We have learned Comcast, Charter Spectrum, and AT&T are offering free internet during this period of closure. To learn more about these options, please contact them directly at:

For those without online access, we will have the Grand Rapids Academic Summer Program (GRASP) print materials available for pick up at the Sibley Elementary and Ottawa Hills High School Nutrition Sites (11:30 AM - 12:30 PM Monday - Friday). GRASP includes math and reading resources and activities for students in grades K-8.

For a comprehensive list of optional online enrichment resources, please visit http://resources.grps.org. Resources are organized by grade level and content area.

In general, it is a good idea to have students spend time each day on academics. We recommend 30 - 60 minutes a day for the content areas below. Also, if you are a student of high school age, we recommend that you continue to prepare for the PSAT or SAT. The resources below also include links that support this activity.
