Grand Rapids Merrill Advisors Veldheer, Mackay, and Long Named on Barron's 2021 list of Top 100 Institutional Consulting Teams
James Veldheer, William Mackay, and Timothy Long have been named on the Barron’s 2021 "Top 100 Institutional Consulting Teams.” All three are Managing Directors at The Veldheer, Long, Mackay & Bernecker Group in Grand Rapids, MI.
James Veldheer joined Merrill in 1990. He concentrates on consulting to pensions, foundations, endowments, and high net-worth families on their investment portfolios. Jim is a graduate of Aquinas College.
William Mackay joined Merrill in 1993. He offers a full spectrum of institutional and high net worth investment strategies with an intimate client-consultant relationship. Bill graduated with honors from the University of Notre Dame.

Timothy Long has worked with Merrill since 1994. He concentrates on the financial and estate needs of institutions and individuals with high net worth. Tim attended Hope College and was a Baker Scholar. He graduated from the University of Michigan-Ross School of Business.
Veldheer, Mackay and Long were also recognized on the Barron’s 2018 “Top 50 Institutional Consultants” list and each has been on the Barron’s “Top 1,200 Financial Advisors” list.
