Looking for a fun and easy craft to get you in the holiday spirit? Try these simple cinnamon-scented ornaments! You may have made these as a kid or with your kids, and they are easy enough to be a family craft, but I think they're a fun project no matter your age. Let's get started!

You'll need:
- 1 and 1/2 cups of cinnamon
- 1 cup of applesauce
- Cookie cutters
- A straw
- String, ribbon, or twine
- Decorations if desired (paint, glitter, etc.)
- Mix together the cinnamon and applesauce until well-combined and doughy consistency. I started with 1 cup of cinnamon and added more until the dough was no longer sticky.
- Roll out the dough (I placed it between two pieces of parchment paper).
- Use the cookie cutters to cut out shapes as desired. I got about 18 cutouts from one batch.
- With the straw poke a hole in each ornament where you'd like it to hang from.
- Bake at 200 for 2.5 hours on a parchment-lined cookie sheet.
- When fully cooled, decorate if desired, and string your ribbon or twine through the hole and tie.
When you're done, you can hang them up as ornaments, give as gifts, or tie on to wrapped presents! Check out the video below to see the steps in action!
