November Writing and Drawing Contests Participant Compilation

Last month, we hosted a Fairytale Writing and Drawing Contest and a Tween Choose Your Own Adventure Story Writing Challenge, and we were absolutely blown away by all of the amazing entries we received. All of our participants really embraced the spirit of these contests and let their creativity shine.

For our Fairytale Writing and Drawing Contest, participants were asked to write their own fairytale short story, rewrite the ending to their favorite fairytale, OR draw a picture of their own fairytale character. Each story and drawing was so unique and interesting, and it was truly a delight to view them all.

To celebrate National Novel Writing Month, tweens were invited to participate in Cromaine's first ever Choose Your Own Adventure story writing challenge! For this contest, we challenged tweens in grades 5-7 to write their own adventure story using the prompt: "While walking through my neighborhood on a chilly, winter day, you will never believe what I saw!" Check out their entries here.

We did a random prize drawing for all of our participants in these events, and we had five lucky winners: congratulations to Clara B., Meadow D., Abby G., Haley P., and Sylvia R.! Clara and Meadow each received Fairytale Prize Packs, and Abby, Haley, and Sylvia all received Popin' Cookin' kits!

The Cromaine Library would like to thank everyone who participated in these contests, and we hope that each of you continue pursuing creative writing and art. We are thrilled to have had so much interest in these events, and we hope everyone enjoys reading these entries just as much as we did.
