A cappella chorus gives free performances in Macomb, Farmington

family, friends, public invited

The 103-member Motor City Blend Chorus gives a one-hour performance with The Vibe quartet at noon Sept. 22 at Macomb Christian Church, 13845 22 Mile Road, Shelby Township. The same performance will be given at 5 p.m. at the Finnish Cultural Center, 35200 8 Mile Road, Farmington. Admission is free but donations are welcome and there will be raffles, cider and doughnuts.

The a cappella performance is for family and friends to see what the chorus and quartet are presenting in the 2018 Sweet Adelines International chorus and quartet competitions in St. Louis, Mo. in October.
Motor City Blend Chorus (www.motorcityblendchorus.com) is a membership organization of female singers who meet regularly to practice, perform and have fun. Singers are of all ages, from all walks of life, and from many parts of southern Michigan and northern Ohio, and one from Canada.
Motor City Blend Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a non-profit organization of approximately 30,000 members worldwide in choruses and quartets.
Motor City Blend Chorus rehearses from 7-10 p.m. Tuesday nights at Orchard United Methodist Church, 30450 Farmington Road, Farmington Hills. Co-directors are LeAnn K.
