Dakota High School Musicians Chosen To Perform With Zenith Brass
Darcy Barbian and James Duffy to perform in the premier brass band composed of 25 of the top area brass and percussion players.

MACOMB COUNTY, MI — Two Dakota High School musical virtuosos will be performing in an upcoming concert with Zenith Brass, an illustrious brass band composed of 25 of the top brass and percussion players from 15 different schools in Oakland and Macomb counties.
Dakota High School students Darcy Barbian, a junior who plays the French horn, and James Duffy, a senior trumpet player, auditioned and were chosen to perform with the premier Zenith Brass band in the Annual Fall concert featuring Michigan State University's Beaumont Brass faculty quintet on Sunday, Nov. 20 at 7 p.m. at Oak Arbor Church (495 Oak Arbor Cir W, Rochester).
"People of all ages will enjoy the exuberance of the talented youth musicians of Zenith Brass and the professional playing of the Beaumont Brass Quintet," Director Mark Petty said in a news release.
