Holiday Celebration comes to Mall at Partridge Creek
Open-air mall releases details of expanded Tree Lighting Celebration Nov. 7-8.

It’s going to be a party.
The Mall at Partridge Creek recently released details regarding the popular shopping mall’s ninth annual Tree Lighting Celebration Weekend, Nov. 7-8, the the list of events is both expanded from years past and more grand.
Two days, jam-packed with festivities, including the lighting of a 42-foot tall Christmas tree and a visit from Santa Claus, are slated for the weekend, according to a press release issued by mall administration.
“This annual community event features family fun all weekend,” Mall at Partridge Creek General Manager Wendy Batiste-Johnson said in the release.
The event is designed to kick off the holiday season and give families the opportunity to enjoy the lights shimmering throughout the open-air mall, not to mention the more than one dozen entertainment acts and events on tap for the weekend.
Here’s a quick rundown of the some of the events and acts scheduled for the Tree Lighting Celebration:
Saturday, Nov. 7
- Ice sculptures by Ice Brigade
- Detroit Opera House Lite Carolers
- Concert by singer TJ Craven
- Holiday photos
- Concert by Kaleido
Sunday, Nov. 8
- Magician Jasen Magic
- Story time with Mrs. Claus
- Holiday photos
- Free light wand giveaway for children
- Cider and doughnuts
- Concert by Cancel Monday
The tree lighting will take place at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, with WDIV personality, Rhonda Walker, serving as the event’s emcee.
