The money raised provides meals to students and families in need.

MACOMB TOWNSHIP, MI — L’Anse Creuse Public Schools students took part in this year's Make a Difference Day by hosting a penny drive for the 22nd year in a row.
Every penny - literally - raised went towards L’Anse Creuse Meet Up and Eat Up program, which provides food to students and families in need during the summer months. The grand total raised was $4,840.66. Atwood Elementary School raised the most dough for the sixth year running.
