Classes began in September and met every other Saturday for six sessions. During each session the students were introduced to different aspects of Macomb County by subject matter experts.

This allowed the class to learn how Macomb County functions as a whole. The goal of the program was to encourage these young leaders to take what they learned back to their peers and encourage them to become more actively involved in their community.

The class will receive certificates of completion and present what they learned at the Commencement Ceremony on Nov. 24. It will be held at the Macomb Music Theatre in Mt. Clemens.
