United Way for Southeastern Michigan Recognized in Macomb for 100 Years of Service
County Commissioners Acknowledge Nonprofit with a Resolution

In recognition of United Way for Southeastern Michigan's centennial milestone, Chairman Bob Smith and members of the Macomb County Commission presented a resolution to United Way President and CEO Dr. Herman Gray. United Way serves residents in Oakland, Wayne, and Macomb, where the organization funds nearly 20 partner agencies offering a variety of services and programs in that community.
Earlier this year, United Way for Southeastern kicked off its milestone with the launch of a new online volunteer portal. Since that time, more than 1,000 volunteers have signed up to help make our communities a better place for us all.

- Hosting a social media contest in October aimed at helping United Way reach 10,000 Facebook followers. Once the goal is met, followers will be randomly selected to win prizes.
- Hosting a benefit gala, a first for United Way, early next year.
