Macomb Township Doctor Acquitted Of Sexual Contact With Patient

Dr. Mark Sikorski was found not guilty of sexual contact Wednesday. Sikorski was also acquitted of ten counts of sexual contact in 1998.

Despite hearing his accuser’s tape of their encounter, during which he asks for a private “show,” and cites her work as sex-cam performer, a jury acquitted Dr. Mark Sikorski of sexual contact with a female patient. The verdict came Wednesday in the case of the Macomb Township doctor charged with kissing and groping a female patient during an office visit in 2014.

Sikorski, 60, lives in Shelby Township and also faced 10 counts of sexual contact in 1998 after six different women accused the doctor of groping them during visits to his Macomb Township practice. The accuser in the most recent case used a cell phone to tape her final encounter with the doctor. On her recording, he asks her about her sex work and inquires about getting a private show. She alleges the doctor kissed her, touched her breast under her clothing and made her to touch his genitals.

The jury deliberated for approximately four hours before finding Sikorski not guilty. This is the second trial for Sikorski on these charges. The first attempt ended in a hung jury in 2016.
