Macomb Township Massage Parlor Investigated For Prostitution
An investigation into the Relax Spa Massage at Hayes Road and 21 Mile in Macomb Township has prompted the arrest of two women, police said.

MACOMB TWP., MI — Two Macomb County women were arraigned Friday in 41-A District Court on prostitution charges stemming from an investigation into the Relax Spa Massage at Hayes Road and 21 Mile in Macomb Township, authorities said.
Shu-Juan Liu, 58, and Feng Xiang Tu, 59, both of Sterling Heights, were charged with one misdemeanor count each of prostitution, accosting and soliciting, according to the Macomb County Sheriff's Office.
Each was released on a personal recognizance bond, officials said. The women are each scheduled to appear in court again on March 18 for a probable cause hearing.

Two other women, including the spa's business manager, a Shelby Township woman, were taken into custody before being released by police without facing charges, the sheriff's office said. They were not identified.
The Macomb County Sheriff's Office Sheriff's Enforcement Team said it received a tip and began investigating whether the spa was operating as a front for prostitution, officials said Friday.

Undercover officers said they were propositioned for sexual acts by the women in exchange for money at the business, the sheriff's office said. Authorities said the manager was the primary source of transportation for her employees.
The sheriff's office served a search warrant at the spa Wednesday when no clients were at the business, officials said.
A search of the business led investigators to several ledgers and cash; a search of the manager's home led to the recovery of additional ledgers, business documents and cash, law enforcement officials said. More than $110,000 was seized from both locations, police said.
Officials said the manager was released pending further investigation, and no charges were filed against a third employee.
