Macomb Township Trustee Named in Extortion Scheme

Lawsuit filed against Dino Bucci and the township over refund.

(Posted Oct. 28, 2016) MACOMB COUNTY, MI — In yet another Macomb County corruption scandal, longtime Macomb Township Trustee Dino Bucci has been accused of trying to extort $76,000 during a dispute over a refund on water and sewer fees for a project that never happened, The Macomb Daily reported. The allegations against Bucci surfaced in a lawsuit filed by Gianna Investments LLC in Macomb County Circuit Court against the township and Bucci, a high-ranking official for Macomb County Public Works Commissioner Anthony Marrocco. Bucci is accused in the lawsuit of trying to set up a kickback for a refund of water and sewer fees for a Gianna development wasn’t constructed.
