Man Gets 13 To 20 Years For Assault On 15-year-Old Macomb Girl

Nicholas Reynolds, described by prosecutors as "a dangerous sexual deviant," was sentenced Wednesday for assault and possessing child porn.

Nicholas Reynolds was sentenced to 13 to 20 years in prison Wednesday for sexually assaulting a 15-year-old girl and for possessing child pornography, according to the Macomb Daily. Macomb County Circuit Court Judge Kathryn Viviano accepted Reynolds’ guilty plea to third-degree criminal sexual conduct, assault by strangulation, three counts of sexually abusive communications activity, and other charges related to possessing and electronically storing child pornography. Reynolds, 32, or Chesterfield Township, was still on probation for child-porn charges in Illnois.

According to the Macomb Daily, Assistant Macomb Prosecutor Suzanna Shkreli told Judge Viviano “Reynolds is a dangerous sexual deviant who cannot control himself or be rehabilitated — he has shown repetitive predatory conduct. He committed this crime while on parole wearing a tether for a prior similar incident out of Illinois. The defendant had countless depraved images and videos of child pornography on his phone and computer.”

Reynolds met his 15-year-old victim online in 2017, arranging to meet her March 10. During this meeting, he made her get in his car and assaulted her, according to police. After the victim reported her assault, the police investigation resulted in a raid at Reynolds’ house, where he stored sexual images of children on external hard drives.
