Public Vote Opens for Michigan First Credit Union’s Next Young & Free Michigan “Spokester”

24 candidates vie to become the next Spokester, public voting ends May 23

Michigan First Credit Union launched the public voting process for its next Young & Free Michigan “Spokester,” a minimum of a year-long paid role designated to one creative and energetic young adult who will serve as the spokesperson for the Credit Union’s education-focused program aimed at 17-25 year olds.

Throughout Michigan, 24 individuals submitted a 3-minute video showcasing why he/she is the ideal candidate to be the next Young & Free Michigan Spokester. With the application process now closed, a public vote will help determine the top four finalists, while Michigan First will select an additional three finalists. All finalists will be announced on May 25 and participate in a “Getting to Know Each Other” Event on June 7.

The winning Spokester will be announced in mid-June and will be responsible for creatively promoting smart financial decisions among their peers through managing the Young & Free social media channels, daily blog post, weekly videos and participating in community events.
