State Tip Line Helps Curb Student Suicides, School Violence
Michigan's OK2Say service hopes to make a difference among kids looking to hurt themselves or others.

In a state where one in 17 children thinks about committing suicide, Michigan’s Board of Education-based hotline hopes to become a resource for students, faculty and parents, according to a Detroit Free Press report.
The OK2SAY tip line was the one of the topic’s at Monday’s State Board of Education meeting, the report stated. The tip line allows kids and adults report possible suicide attempts and violent crimes as an attempt to curtail violence in Michigan schools, the report added.
