Suspect Bound Over For Trial In Macomb Man’s Murder

Victim Was Shot, Dismembered

Andrew Fiacco, 20, of Ray Township was bound over for trial in the murder and dismemberment of Steven McAfee, 19, of Macomb Township. Fiasco was in court on Dec. 20 after a three-day-long preliminary exam in Romeo District Court. Fiacco will be arraigned Jan. 22, 2018, before Judge Jennifer Faunce in Macomb County Circuit Court. Until then, Fiacco will stay in county jail where he’s being held without bond.

Charges against Fiacco include first-degree murder, mutilation of a body and lying to police. McAfee was reported missing by his parents in mid-March 2016. After McAfee went missing, Fiacco commented about the disappearance on social media. In late April 2016, McAfee's remains were discovered after Fiacco's now ex-girlfriend and current, Eevette MacDonald, confided to tipsters that she assisted Fiacco in disposing of McAfee's body. Police recovered remains from two different locations, one in Ray Township, the other in Bruce Township. Police say McAfee was shot twice in the head, once in the stomach, and then dismembered and partially encased in concrete before being buried in two shallow graves.
