Update from the Parks and Rec Director
As we prepare for the Stay Home Stay Safe order to expire on June 12, 2020 here is an update as to where we are as of today. We are planning to be back to work at the Rec Center on June 15. We will be open to the public on June 22, 2020. Unfortunately, due to the order issued by the Macomb County Health Department, the Aquatics Center will remain closed indefinitely. As previously stated, all Recreation Center memberships have been frozen. No money has been deducted from any accounts during this closure. All annual and trial memberships will be credited when we re-open.Regarding the parks, they too will re-open on June 22, 2020 unless the order is extended. The walking path will be open, although social distancing must be adhered to. No determination has been made yet concerning the other amenities in the parks, as the gathering number will play a big factor as to what can be offered. Please continue to check the website or our Facebook page for updates, as the situation changes rapidly. We will post the changes as soon as they become available. We thank you for your continued patience, and we look forward to seeing everyone real soon!
