County Seeks Nominations for Outstanding Businesses

Macomb County hopes residents can them help recognize outstanding businesses

The clock is ticking for Macomb County residents to submit nominations for outstanding businesses located within the county.
Nominations will be accepted until Nov. 12, and culminate with the fourth annual Macomb County Business Awards Breakfast Feb. 9, 2016.
Residents can nominate businesses in any of the following categories:

  • Champion of Workforce Development – utilizing innovative practices for hiring, training and retaining employees
  • Corporate Citizen – offering meaningful community support through service and/or philanthropic participation 

  • Diversification Leader – generating new business by expanding products/services provided or tapping new markets 

  • Efficiency Expert – increasing cash flow through process and/or energy efficiencies 

  • Model of OneMacomb – cultivating an environment where diversity and inclusion are valued
  • Startup Business to Watch – growing with less than four years in operation and more than two full-time employees

“This event is a great opportunity for our community to recognize organizations of all sizes,” Macomb County Executive Mark Hackel said in a release. “Whether they are working to create a culture where employees are valued and given opportunities to advance or implementing strategies for increasing market share or finding new ways to increase efficiency, we want to celebrate and recognize the many businesses that are thriving in Macomb County.”
Nominated businesses will be highlighted on the county’s website and in the event program.
