Skateboarding Equipment Fundraiser Rolls into New Baltimore

A fundraiser to buy upgraded skateboarding equipment for the New Baltimore SkatePark is scheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sept. 28 at Maynard "Red" Aurand Memorial Park in New Baltimore, according to the city parks and recreation department. 

This event will feature a performance from the School of Rock, a trick competition open for skateboarders, bikers and extreme scooter riders and a jousting arena. 

Food, including popcorn, cotton candy and hotdogs, will be available to purchase. 

The fundraiser goal is $800 for three new pieces for the SkatePark. Donations may be made online as well at http://www.gofundme.com/41w0mg.
