Hourly Look at When Snow Starts in New Baltimore-Chesterfield
The exact track of Winter Storm Bella will affect which areas of the Upper Midwest get crippling heavy snow.

Parts of Metro Detroit could get more than a half-foot of snow beginning Saturday and continuing through the evening.
Winter Storm Bella, with predicted snowfall totals of 3 to 7 inches, is expected to move into southeast Michigan overnight Friday.
Relatively warm ground temperatures could stop it from piling up, but some accumulation is possible, National Weather Service Sara Schultz told the Detroit Free Press.

A winter storm watch is in effect for several southeast Michigan counties, including Oakland, Wayne, Macomb, Livingston, Genesee and Washtenaw. The weather service says there’s still some uncertainty about the track of the storm system, which will affect where the heaviest snow falls.

The Weather Channel, which offers an hourly look at when the snow will arrive, says rain and snow showers will develop around 2 a.m., then turn to all snow by 5 a.m. and continue through the morning hours.
As temperatures warm, the area could see a rain/snow mix in the afternoon hours, then change back to all snow around 6 p.m. and continuing through 10 p.m. The heaviest snow is expected to fall during the evening hours.
Metro Detroit isn’t expected to get some of the crippling 10-inch totals forecast for parts of the Upper Midwest, The Weather Channel said.
Temperatures in Metro Detroit are expected to dip below freezing Saturday night.
The weather service has snow showers in the forecast through Monday evening, but the Thanksgiving Eve is expected to be sunny with a high around 45. There’s a chance of showers Thanksgiving Day, but the high is predicted to be around 50 degrees.
