Restaurant Group to Host Statewide Fundraiser for Make-A-Wish MI

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, announced today that it will host a Make-A-Wish Michigan Stars for Wishes fundraiser on Sunday, May 19. To further benefit Make-A-Wish Michigan, TSFR will match up to $25,000 in guests’ donations made throughout the day.

With a goal of raising $100,000, all 65 Applebee’s, 27 Olga’s Kitchen, 13 MOD Pizza and seven Del Taco restaurants owned and operated by TSFR will participate in this one-day fundraising event. All guest and TSFR donations collected throughout the day will be earmarked to help Make-A-Wish Michigan continue to grant wishes to children battling life-threatening illnesses.

“TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants remains committed to being a good neighbor and giving back in an effort to positively impact and improve the lives of those in the communities we serve,” said TSFR Chief Financial Officer Ken Stanecki. “As a long-time supporter of Make-A-Wish Michigan, our organization has witnessed first-hand the difference they are making in the lives of children and their families during their time of need. We encourage everyone to stop out at any of our TSFR restaurants and help grant the wishes of many children in our hometown.”

In exchange for a $1 or $5 donation at any of TSFR’s Applebee’s, Olga’s Kitchen, MOD Pizza or Del Taco restaurants, guests will receive a coupon good for a free item from a select menu. The following coupons will be given in exchange for donations:

Make-A-Wish® Michigan expects to grant more than 400 wishes this year to Michigan children with life-threatening medical conditions. They believe that a wish experience can be a game-changer.
