TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants Celebrates Grand Opening of MOD Pizza in Chesterfield

Grand opening celebrated with "Pay What You Want" fundraiser benefiting the L'Anse Creuse Public Schools

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants (TSFR), a Michigan-based family-owned restaurant group with an expansive portfolio of casual, quick service and family dining restaurants throughout the state, will celebrate the grand opening of its newest Michigan MOD Pizza restaurant in Chesterfield on Monday, February 20 with an all-day “Pay What You Want” fundraiser. The new Chesterfield restaurant opened to the public on January 15, 2017 and is located at 50670 Gratiot Ave.

The “Pay What You Want” event begins at 10:30 a.m. and runs through dinner service. Guests can pay an amount of their choosing for their meal, with all proceeds benefiting the L’Anse Creuse Public Schools to aid the organization in its mission to create a challenging collaborative learning community, which prepares all students for success in a global society.

“As we continue our rapid expansion of MOD Pizza in Michigan, we are honored to be able to continue partnering with local organizations to Spread MODness—the ripple effect of simply doing the right thing—and give back to the communities while delivering an authentic, affordable and superfast dining experience,” said Schostak. “We look forward to joining the Chesterfield community and partnering with the L’Anse Creuse Public Schools to further engage with the surrounding communities and create opportunity for our current and potential MOD Squad members along the way.”

“At L’Anse Creuse Public Schools, we believe in collaborating with those in our community to help students achieve their full potential by offering a multitude of core educational and extracurricular opportunities—and this event helps us to do just that,” said Dr. John Armstrong, interim Superintendent of the L’Anse Creuse Public Schools. “We are happy to welcome MOD Pizza to Chesterfield and partner with them for the ‘Pay What You Want’ day.”

Based in Seattle, MOD’s individual artisan-style pizzas are made on demand, using fresh-pressed dough and signature sauces, including MOD red sauce and MOD white sauce. As the company that launched the fast-casual pizza niche, guests can create their own pizzas and salads, using any combination of more than 30 fresh-featured toppings, or they can choose from a menu of MOD classics. Each pizza is hand-cooked in an 800 degree oven in five minutes or less and salads are hand-tossed in front of the customer. MOD also serves local draft beers, wine, handspun milkshakes, and house-made lemonades and iced teas.
