2 File For Northville School Board Seats Ahead of Tuesday Deadline
Applications are due at 4 p.m. on Aug. 14.

As of 1:30 p.m. on Monday, only two people have submitted paperwork to run for three spots on Northville Public Schools' board of education, township clerk Sue Hillebrand said.
Seats currently held by and , who were appointed to replace former board members and , are open in this election. They are both running to keep their appointed seats.
In addition, board president Dottie Garrity's term is ending. It is not clear if she is running for re-election.

Applications are due at 4 p.m. on Aug. 14. Applications for both city and township residents are due to Hillebrand's office at Six Mile and Sheldon roads.
The candidates who file will be listed on the November ballot. Their terms begin in January 2013.

To appy candidates must submit two things:
- An affidavit of identity
- A nominating petition with a minimum of 40 signatures or maximum of 100 signatures. Instead of a nominating petition, applicants can pay a $100 non-refundable fee.
