Men banned from Starbucks
Two men, one from Novi and one from Farmington Hills, were banned from the Haggerty Road Starbucks in Northville on Sept. 11, after an employee accused them of stealing from the tip jar.
According to a Northville Township police report, an employee saw the men take money from the tip jar, and when she made eye contact with one of them, he attempted to dismiss the act. She told police that the men then put the money back.
"Your tip money is falling out of the jar, man," one of the men said as he put the money back, according to the report. Store employees called police and asked that the men be issued trespassing warnings and that they agree never to return to the store. They agreed, and police told them that if they returned they would be arrested, the report indicated.
