2 Ohio Women Killed In Wrong-Way Crash In Michigan

Two men are in serious condition after the Sunday crash, which remains under investigation.

NORTHFIELD, MI – Two women from Ohio are dead and a man seriously injured after their car was hit by another car, which apparently was headed the wrong way on U.S. 23. The man, identified as 74-year-old from Chelsea, Michigan, also is in serious condition at a Michigan hospital, according to media reports.

Debbie Pinson, 51, of Broadview Heights, Ohio, and Cathy Kretzschmer, of Olmsted Township, Ohio, were killed in the crash, reported WDIV-TV in Detroit. They were in a car driven by Daniel Eidt, also of Olmsted Township, Ohio, reported the TV station.

Eidt's car, a Ford Fusion, was hit by a Chevrolet Bolt driven by the 74-year-old man, the TV station. The crash occurred just before 3 p.m. Sunday.
