A Farewell From Your Northville Patch Editor

I'll be leaving Northville Patch at the end of this week to take a job in Cleveland.

Saying goodbye is never easy, at least not for me. And this is no exception.

Friday will be my last day with Northville Patch. Working for Patch has been hard work over many hours a week but, above all else, it has been a pleasure serving this community.

When Patch first launched in Michigan and I was asked about my preference on which city to cover, Northville was my first choice. It has such a cozy feel to it that I instantly felt welcome. I have never regretted it.

I'll be taking a job at The Cleveland Foodbank as its online communications coordinator beginning Nov. 12. Cleveland is my hometown and I am excited to be moving home for the first time since I left as a 17-year-old high school student. It's where my family is and the city I have always regarded as home.

There is a bit of a silver lining in these farewell tidings. Northville native and current Novi Patch editor Rebecca Jaskot will be taking over as editor of Northville Patch. She can be reached with questions, story ideas and news tips at rebecca.jaskot@patch.com or 248-766-8421.

Aside from saying goodbye, I would like to take this opportunity to give a thank you shout out to those of you who read Patch. Each month since we started, we have added more new readers to the site than the one before. I also am grateful to the many city, township and school district employees and representatives who have supplied me with information that Northville Patch presents to you.

So, I'll say it one more time - farewell and thank you, Northville. I hope you'll continue to visit the site daily for the latest updates on your great city and township.
