Comedian and Musician Bob Posch to Perform at Northville District Library Benefit

- Submitted by the Northville District Library

Enjoy an evening of fun and good food and help benefit the Northville District Library at the same time. The Library’s “Books & Beyond” fundraiser will be held at Genitti’s Hole-in-the-Wall on Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m. Hear acclaimed comedian and musician Bob Posch and enjoy Genitti’s famous seven-course dinner with house wine.

In order to maintain their tradition of providing excellence in programming and collections, the library is looking for additional ways to increase their revenue. “Property tax dollars make up 96 percent of our annual revenue. Unfortunately this revenue has been reduced in the past few years as a result of home values decreasing,” said Julie Herrin, Library Director.

“We are looking for other ways to supplement our revenue beyond tax dollars,” said Herrin. “We believe this fundraiser will be an entertaining event for people to gather and unwind, and at the same time help out the library. The proceeds from this year’s fundraiser will benefit our heavily used Teen and Youth collections.”

The event costs $75 per person, and $30 of the ticket is tax deductible. Tickets are available at Genitti’s at 108 E. Main Street in downtown Northville, or by phone at 248-349-0522. There will be a cash bar available at the fundraiser.

For more information please visit the library’s website at www.northvillelibrary.org or call Julie Herrin at 248-349-3020.
