Amerman Elementary School will host its 11th annual Hoedown, Square Dance and Silent Auction on October 12 at 6 pm. The event is for children and adults of all ages. It features experienced square dance caller Dave Smith of South Lyon. Proceeds of the event will benefit Kids 4 Afghan Kids, a charity begun in 1998 by Northville students to provide education and medical care to a village in rural Afghanistan.
Tickets to the Hoedown are $5 ($20 for a family) and include a hot dog dinner, square dancing and music. Admission to the Silent Auction is free. The Auction includes sports and theater tickets, hotels stays, restaurant meals and memorabilia.
