Begonia Brothers Downtown Northville Location Now Open

This is the first full week that the new Begonia Brothers garden center location in Downtown Northville is open.

The building, which previously housed The Sawmill, is a retail location, co-owner Derick Smith said. Begonia Brothers will also continue its lanscaping and supplies store near Novi and Eight Mile roads. So far, a lot of people have been stopping by the new store to show support.

"The community has been very receptive," he said. "We've gotten great feedback from everyone."

For the Halloween season, the store is filled with ghoulishly festive decorations and supplies. It will continue to be filled with seasonal items through the holidays, Smith said.

The store is also an effort to expand the Begonia Brothers party rental enterprise, he said. That includes tables, tents, chairs, inflatables and more.

"This is where we plan to stay," Smith said of Northville. "This is the last piece of our puzzle."
