City Lights Chorus “shines” in competition

Northville based acappella male ensemble garners achievements at district level competition.

Northville based male acappella ensemble, City Lights Chorus, competed this past weekend at the Pioneer District (State of Michigan) 2019 Fall Convention at the Frauenthal Theatre in Muskegon.

The convention featured contests for both choruses and quartets from all over the state of Michigan.
The chorus contest is the event to see which chorus will qualify to represent the Pioneer District at the 2020 Barbershop Harmony Society International Convention in LA this July.

City Lights Chorus was able to qualify with an average score of 81.3.

Inside City Lights Chorus are chapter quartets that were vying for a district title.

“CHONK” (pictured above) competed and garnered the 2019 Pioneer District Novice Quartet Championship.

“Silver Edition” (pictured below) became the 2019 Pioneer District Quartet Champions.

City Lights Chorus is so thrilled to be representing Northville and SE Michigan and to showcase what is being created by this new ensemble.
