Current Northville Township Treasurer Endorses Marjorie Banner For His Seat

- The following Letter to the Editor was submitted by Northville Township treasurer Richard Henningsen. He encourages voters to back for treasurer in the Aug. 7 primary. Banner is running against for the seat.

I've known Ms Banner since she was elected to the Board of Trustees 12 years ago. During that period she has demonstrated her excellent ability to lead discussions and take a very active part in the continued development of the township.

She has had a strong influence on the Zoning Board of Appeals demonstrating her experience in maintaining firm adherence of township ordinances while making sound decisions for the betterment of the community. Along with those accomplishments she worked very hard to prevent the annexation of the state hospital property by the City of Livonia. She then served as Chairperson on the steering committee for the development of the property as presented in the for the site.

She was also instrumental with starting and then serving as Chairperson of the Township Historical Committee which serves to maintain the historical values of our township.

Along with her involvement with those activities she is a member of the township's Economic Development Organization and serves as chair and treasurer of Thayer's Corner Nature Area a site owned by the township. Marge Banner's community service her experience and dedication as a Trustee makes her the most qualified candidate for Treasurer of The Charter Township of Northville. I encourage you to vote for Ms. Banner on August 7th.
