Former Northville Rower to Compete on the World Stage
Alumnus Ashwath Muruganand to row at the World University Championships in Shanghai, China this Summer

Northville Rowing Club Alumnus Ashwath Muruganand, Northville High School class of 2016, has been selected to represent the United States at the World University Championships this summer in Shanghai, China. Ashwath Muruganand is presently a rising Junior at University of Michigan LSA Honors College majoring in Neurosciences. He was a three-time state champion, and two-time Midwest champion while at Northville Rowing. He currently rows at Michigan where he was named a 2017 All-American Freshman, and won the 2018 ACRA National Championship.
Ashwath is very excited to have the opportunity to represent the Northville Rowing Club, University of Michigan and the United States at the World University Championships in Shanghai this summer! He will be attending a training camp for the next 9 weeks and then to China to race against top international competitors.
The US World University Championships team is self funded, and the cost of training camp and travel to China is $5,000. Please consider donating to help Ashwath represent NRC and the US in Shanghai this summer!
