The Ladies Foursome Tees Up for Fun at Livonia Community Theatre

Join the ladies as they dish about life and love in this comedy by Canadian playwright Norm Foster

Audiences are in for an evening of fun and laughter as Livonia Community Theatre presents The Ladies Foursome, a comedy by Canadian playwright Norm Foster. The show runs April 7, 2018 at 7:30; April 8, 2018 at 2:00; April 14, 2018 at 7:30; and April 15, 2018 at 2:00.

The play follows four women as they play 18 holes in memory of a recently deceased friend. They’re joined by another friend of the deceased whom they’ve never met, but who brings a completely new dynamic to their group. The action gets personal, poignant and hilariously funny as the women discuss life, love, men, women, children, careers – everything but the game of golf. Prepare to be entertained as secrets, surprises, and confessions come to the fore.

The show features Rebecca Borsodi (Redford), Rachel Kain (Livonia), and Pam Gunderson (Redford), all of whom Livonia Community Theatre regulars may recall from last season’s production of Steel Magnolias, another ensemble piece about women’s friendships. Shelby Leigh (Detroit) makes her debut on the LCT stage with this production.

“I am having a ball playing Margot in The Ladies Foursome,” says Rachel Kain. “It’s mostly hilarious, sometimes touching, a little sad, and most importantly a nuanced, realistic portrayal of the complex relationships among a group of longtime friends. I love how the play shows that the death of a close friend can reveal who people really are and force them to examine what they really want. It’s 19 holes of fun—even when conflicts arise. I hope everyone will come join us as we have a blast bringing these women to life!”

All performances are at St. Paul’s Presbyterian Church, 27475 Five Mile Road, Livonia. Tickets are $10 for adults; $8 for seniors; and $5 for students 18 and under. Visit livoniacommunitytheatre.org to order online, or call 248-252-1940 to reserve by phone. Tickets are also available at the door.
