Letter to the Editor: Vote For Fred Shadko For Northville Township Board of Trustees

I have known Fred Shadko, candidate for Northville Township Trustee, for most of my life. Fred demonstrated his leadership abilities and outstanding scholastic achievements throughout his academic career at The University of Michigan, achieving a Bachelor of Science in Engineering and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. In the ensuing years, Fred had positions of leadership and responsibility at Ford Motor Company and Chrysler Corporation, among others, before retiring in June 2011.

I have had the privilege of being Fred’s friend for almost 50 years. During that time, I have witnessed both his personal and professional growth, his civic involvement during his years as a Township resident, and his leadership in spearheading the Dog Park openings and the recent annexation battles. His accomplishments have been recognized by the many commendations he received while employed in the automobile industry and the respect he has garnered in the community for his numerous contributions and as the “go-to guy.”  Above all, he has been a true and devoted friend, whose care, concern, and loyalty has always been a force in my life.

Fred Shadko is uniquely qualified to be a Northville Township Trustee. Having been a Northville Township resident for thirteen years, I know that Fred has a vision, based upon his values and expertise, to fuel the future growth and development of the Township’s resources while protecting the needs of residents and financial prudence.

I strongly recommend his candidacy and endorse Fred Shadko as one who has the knowledge, skills, expertise, and vision to become a member of the Board of Trustees and lead Northville Township for the next four years
