Letter to the Editor: Vote For Fred Shadko in Northville Township Trustees Election

- The following Letter to Editor was submitted by Marjorie Banner, current Northville Township trustee and soon-to-be township treasurer.

I would like to encourage the residents of Northville Township to vote for Fred Shadko for Township Trustee. I have worked closely with Fred over the last six years, during which time he spearheaded the citizens group to fight off annexation of the 7 Mile property, devoted his time to passage of Township
millages, created dog parks for our community, and became videographer and later a commissioner on the Township Historic District Commission. These activities were all done while working full time as an information technology manager in the automobile industry with responsibility for schedules and budgets.

Now in his retirement, Fred has decided to commit even more of his time to Northville Township by running for Trustee. He has been a faithful attendee at all of the Board of Trustees meetings, as well as the Planning Commission and Parks & Recreation meetings, in the last year. Fred is a proven leader who is ready to “hit the ground running” after election. He has been endorsed by the Northville Record, and has earned three official commendations from the current Board of Trustees for his work and commitment to the Township.

He deserves a position as trustee, not only for his past achievements on our behalf, but because he is ethical, smart, motivated, level-headed and ready for the job. Please vote for Fred on Tuesday.
