MSP Investigates Freeway Shooting On I-96
Northville Man Traveling Westbound On 1-96 Vehicle Was Shot; MSP Investigated The Scene This Morning For Evidence

At almost 3 a.m. on Dec.7 Metro South Post from the Second District Special Investigation Section responded to westbound I-96 and Davidson for a possible shooting on the freeway. The preliminary investigation revealed that a male driver from Northville was driving home from work when a vehicle, described as a possible 2010 silver Impala pulled up alongside his vehicle and fire at him.
The vehicle was struck, but the driver was not harmed. The driver pulled off on to the shoulder where he proceeded to call 911. Troopers arrived and closed 1-96 from 5 a.m. to 6 a.m. and located two shell casings as evidence. The investigation is ongoing and any witnesses are urged to contact the Michigan State Police.
