Northville Girls Cross Country Wins First Division 1 Team Title
This is the team's first Division 1 team title in Northville High School history.
The Northville girls cross country team made school history when the girls won the Division 1 team title Saturday at the state finals.Â
"They knew from the beginning that we had a goal as a team and they wanted to bring it home," Northville coach Nancy Smith told MLive.com.
The Mustangs had five top-25 performances in the team competition at the Michigan International Speedway in Brooklyn, Mich., the Detroit Free Press reported. They were:
- senior Rachel Coleman in 10th
- sophomore Lexa Barrott in 13th
- senior Taleen Shahrigian in 14th
- freshman Cayla Eckenroth in 21st
