Northville Man Continues Winning Streak on Jeopardy!

Varun Shekhar, of Northville, is a two-day champion of the quiz show Jeopardy!

He appeared first as a contestant on Wednesday, when he answered incorrectly in the final round but wagered appropriately to win $7,199. 

In Final Jeopardy! on Thursday's show, Shekhar wagered $4,601, bringing his total to $11,401 and $1 ahead of the leading contestant. She answered incorrectly and Shekhar was named champion again with a two-day earnings total of $18,600.

Shekhar was the only contestant on Thursday's show to answer Final Jeopardy! correctly. The Final Jeopardy! clue in the category "TV Characters" was: Jerry Jones, Mark Cuban and Mayor Mike Rawlings were 3 of the real folks at the 2013 memorial for this TV character. The answer: Who is J.R. Ewing (of the U.S. television series Dallas)?
