Northville Public School District One of Best in the State, Report Confirms

Northville Public Schools rank in the 96th percentile, according to the Michigan Department of Education

Northville Public School officials are celebrating after learning they’re among the highest performing school districts in the state, as revealed by an Annual Education Report (AER) for the 2013-14 school year released Monday.

The report provides a panoramic view of the district’s academic progress, as well as a closer look into each school. The report is required by federal and state law, the Observer & Eccentric reports.

“Northville Public Schools is a high-performing district, with our K-12 schools ranking in the 88th-98th percentile of schools across Michigan,” Superintendent Mary Kay Gallagher said.

Ranking in the 98th percentile, Meads Mill Middle and Winchester Elementary has the highest score with Northville High School following in the 96th percentile.

Information such as teacher qualification data, district accreditation information, accountability scorecard information, and a national assessment of educational progress are included in the report.
