Northville School Calendar 2017-18: First Day Of School, Vacations, Conferences

The first day of school in Northville is September 5. Feel free to mark it on your calendar as one of the most dreaded days of the year for students and teachers — and feel free not to feel guilty about marking it as one of your favorites. The Northville Public School District has released its tentative 2017-2018 calendar for public schools.

The calendar includes important dates such as winter and spring vacations, religious holidays, federal holidays, early dismissals and parent-teacher conferences.

• 10/19: Middle School Half Day, Parent/Teacher Conferences

November

• 11/3: End of Card Marking 1
• 11/7: No School (Teacher Professional Day)
• 11/16: Elementary School Half Day, Parent/Teacher Conferences
• 11/17: Elementary School Half Day, Parent/Teacher Conferences
• 11/22: Half Day
• 11/23 - 11/24: No School (Thanksgiving Recess)

December

• 12/22: Winter Recess Begins at End of Day

January

• 1/8: Classes Resume
• 1/15: No School (Teacher Work Day)
• 1/26: Half Day for Students, End of Semester, End of Card Marking 2

February

• 2/19: No School (Mid-Winter Recess)

• 3/29: End of Card Marking 3, Spring Recess Begins at End of Day

• 4/10: Teacher Professional Day (Freshman, Sophomores, and Juniors Attend for Testing; No School for Other Grades)
• 4/11: Teacher Professional Half Day (Juniors attend school at regular time for M-STEP Testing; No School for Other Grades)

May

• 5/28: No School (Memorial Day Recess)
