Pet Supplies Plus to Celebrate Grand Reopening in Livonia

Since its humble beginnings in 1988, Pet Supplies Plus has been a common site in cities all over the state of Michigan. Now, America’s favorite neighborhood pet store, which has grown to more than 390 locations in 29 states, will be giving back to its Michigan neighbors with a grand reopening celebration in Livonia.

Events are scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, May 13-14, and will take place just minutes from the company’s headquarters at its Livonia location, 29493 7 Mile Road. The location, which operates seven days a week, will be open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on May 13 and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on May 14.

Highlighting the weekend’s event schedule is a pet adoption event with Greyhound Rescue from 12-3 p.m. on Saturday (May 13) and free nail trims and dog washes throughout the two-day celebration. Detroit’s Hit Music Radio Channel 955 will be in attendance all weekend long, giving away prize packs, gift cards and playing music on-site. In addition, neighbors are encouraged to take advantage of $7 Rabies vaccines and $7 microchipping from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday and 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Sunday courtesy of VIP Petcare. Throughout the weekend, neighbors will receive free scratch-off cards, which will offer discounts between $5 and $50 off every purchase, and will be capped with a Pets and People Pizza Party on Sunday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Also on Sunday, Pet Supplies Plus will give away free goodie bags to the first 25 neighbors who enter the store with his or her pet.
